Personally do I believe this should of been a DD, no, but by no fault of the model (except for the right hand on the bottom image, soften it up a bit, it takes away from the fluidity of the rest of the body) . For me the photography is a bit flat and I'm not so into the lighting and composition choices. As an image I see where its going and I really like that, but I don't think that a DD should be chosen by potential of the image but rather the image as a whole.
This in no way is an attack, but seriously Laura, don't even feed the trolls. If you feel that they are wrong, don't even bother. Chances are that they are not professionals, not in the industry, and not really going to affect you in the long run. So don't sweat it.
Somehow I think your life will continue.

Thank you: to those of you who said nice things. I appreciate it
Fuck you: to those of you who attempted to matter-of-factually proclaim that this is not "art". Fortunately for the rest of the free world, you dont actually get to make those kinds of concrete declarations, because what is and is not factually art is not up to you. You wanna know why? Because there is no all-encompassing definition of art, there is no black and white ruling as to what is and what is not. Youre free to tell me what you think of my work, youre not free to dictate what it IS and IS NOT, just what you THINK about it. But I can tell many of you didnt do a whole lot of that before typing.
And for those of you who are wondering "why post this image when I have so many other 'better' ones?"... heres the thing.
Deviant Art is not my modelling portfolio. I do not use dA, tumblr, FB, FL, etc etc to book work and try to impress the people I want to work with. Frankly those listed websites are just not set up in such a way that is conducive to the type of networking needed to be terribly useful in terms of my modeling as a job.
What they ARE good for, is putting up with that *I* like, but may not necessarily have a place in my working portfolio. This (and many other) photos probably wont get me a paying gig. Thats fine, thats not why I did them in the first place. I did them for fun. This was made possible by an evening with some dear friends who I enjoy being in the presence of any being a part in the creative processes of. I didnt make this to impress you, to try to sell you on buying prints of me or something, or to try to get hired by anybody. Dont be so full of yourself. I did this for ME. I posted it for ME because I enjoyed it and I like to share my enjoyment with the internet. Thats why I post photos that might not be the best of the best of the best of what Ive done, this is the EXACT place for them to go.
